The time is now.
The time is now.
Being born and raised “down the road” taught Kerri the importance of our culture and heritage. It’s also where her love for the outdoors, fishing, and hunting began. The years spent in her family’s grocery, Callais Food Store, is where she developed her work ethic and her sense of community.
Kerri attended grammar school at Lynn Oaks and then graduated with honors from Archbishop Hannan High School. She continued on to LSU and Southeastern Louisiana University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
Kerri is a managing partner for Callais Ice Service and the owner of an ever-growing real estate investment company. The 20 years she has spent helping to grow a small family business into a multi-million dollar, state of the art manufacturing and distribution facility has instilled in her the importance of working towards a vision while maintaining financial integrity.
Kerri is most proud to be called mom and wife. Her tireless energy and love are all devoted to her twin daughters Mia and Olivia, her husband, Franklin Kyle, III, and their pup Cocoa of course! Raising two beautiful, smart young ladies has given her patience, and drive her to make our small corner of the world a place they, and all of our children, can be proud of.
Kerri's commitment to public service did not begin in the political arena but in service to our community. She has served as the Chairwoman for the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce, co-founded Leadership St. Bernard, serves as secretary/treasurer of the Save Louisiana Coalition and as a Foundation Board Member at Nunez Community College.

In the last eight years, over 1000 lots were put back into commerce, home values reached record breaking heights, and nearly $10 million has been spent directly with St. Bernard businesses by the film industry, just to name a few. St. Bernard is on an upward path, and Kerri is the leader best suited to continue the progress.

She has been dubbed a “Coastal Warrior.” because of her leadership in coastal restoration and as an advocate for the Offshore Energy industry. But the growth she is most proud of is the development of St. Bernard's coastal department. Under Kerri's leadership on the council, St. Bernard has gone from having one coastal project to having over a billion dollars invested into restoring it’s coast.
